Ministry: Russia’s power consumption falls by 2.8% in April
MOSCOW, May 8 (PRIME) -- Russia’s power consumption contracted by 2.8% on the year to 84.3 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in April, an Energy Ministry representative told PRIME late on Thursday.
In January–April, consumption contracted by 1.5% to 374.65 billion kWh, the representative said.
System Operator – the dispatching company of Russia’s united energy system – said that power consumption in the system fell by 2.9% on the year to 82.9 billion kWh in April and by 1.6% to 368.6 billion kWh in January–April.
